Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Where is Psylent Journeys?

A: The guided session is performed right in the comfort of your own home. I work anywhere in the Front Range, from Colorado Springs to Fort Collins. I am personally located in Denver.

Q: How do I get started?

A: The first step is simply to see if you and I get along! Give me a call or send me an email and let me know why you are reaching out!

Q: What medicines does Psylent use?

A: I provide support for personal use journeys with Cannabis, Psilocybin (Magic Mushrooms) and Ketamine. As other psychedelic medicines become available for at-home therapeutic use I will include them in my service.

Q: I hear that psychedelics are a cure for depression, drug addiction, PTSD, and anxiety. How can that all be true?

A: It's not. These natural medicines are not a cure for anything in the Western sense of medicine. We use these medicines to enter altered states of consciousness, and we hope that we gain new insights into our lives. It's more like having a near-death experience that makes you re-evaluate the important things in your life, without having any of the bodily risks. In particular, Cannabis and Psilocybin have amazing properties that allow us to dive into these altered states and do deep self-exploration.

Q: Where are Administration Sessions held?

A: Usually in your home! The two key factors are: 1) do you feel completely comfortable and secure in the environment? and 2) Can we achieve near complete privacy and lack of disturbances for 90-minute intervals? As much as we love children, roommates, and pets, this space needs to be all about you! It is also possible to meet in any other location that meets these factors.

Q: What if I live outside of the state of Colorado?

A: Medicine journeys can be just as powerful and healing when performed online. I can guide a session anywhere if you have a good set of headsets or speakers and a mic. I cannot provide any medicine to anyone whom I am not meeting in person in the State of Colorado. You assume all of the risk and responsibility of both acquiring and imbibing your medicine in whatever area you live, I do not in any way condone illegal behavior.

Q: How does this work with small groups?

A: Group sessions can be an incredibly powerful experience for everyone involved. While someone will get much more individual attention from the guide in a 1-on-1 session, there is a deep power to us as mammals and primates to do things as a pack. Having the people we love most going through these types of experiences with us is an excellent way to support our own healing and growth. As long as we have the space, I can lead a group of up to 4.

Q: What about large groups?

A: I cannot legally sit for more than 4 people at a time.

Q: Can I use my insurance to pay for this?

A: Unfortunately, the answer is currently no. I hope this will change as law and policy develop in Colorado.

Q: What if I don't feel comfortable inviting Dylan into my home?

A: There are many reasons this could be the case! If so, I can guide a medicine session online, even if you are in my area. However, if the issue is that you essentially don't trust me, I should give you some recommendations for peers of mine who might suit you better.

Q: I'm worried about confidentiality, what if my boss finds out?

A: I take all my clients' confidentiality very seriously. I will never share your information with anyone. If you already see a mental health professional, I may ask that you agree to let me share our experience with them. It is important to note, however, that Proposition 122 gave a long list of explicit rights to Colorado citizens surrounding their ability to use these medicines without prejudice.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: I require 48 hours notice to move the administration session without a charge. If less than 48 hours is given I will charge a new deductable to schedule a new date. I will not give refunds. I will schedule a make-up session for a psilocybin experience if the medicine is significantly less potent than we expected.
